summer is so flying by... don't you agree? i have posted so many blogs in my mind but can't seem to get over to the computer to get them out. i do have a solution to this dilemma, but unfortunately am lacking the funds to make it happen. i dream of owning a laptop. i have vivid visions of me sitting curled up on the sofa with a latte' and my laptop blogging away... (best get an envelope going for that! right dave ramsey followers?)
anyway, life has been good. raleigh went on a road trip across the country with a dear friend and the kids and i convinced grandpa to take us to bodie while he was gone. grandpa also took the boys and i to a "ladies and kids day" shooting event at the gun club. then there have been the many sleep overs and church related activities as well as a few sicknesses that have come through.
last week we endured another fast paced week of vbs. i'm blown away that i only had two kids attending this year. cody helped with audio visual and taylor has moved up to being a class helper and actor for the week long drama. it fills my heart to watch as the big kids operate in their God given gifts.
raleigh and i also celebrated being married for 14 years a week ago. along those lines here's an ounce of perspective... this fall ra will turn 32, we started dating 16 yrs ago in december, so that means we have been a couple for half of his life! oh my!!!
last week we also shaved the cat... poor thing. this year has been an exceptionally bad year for little velcro burrs. i have brushed and brushed him but felt like all i was doing was pulling his fur out. he nor i enjoyed this so out came the clippers. now we have a very large rat. poor guy, he looks so silly, but i am convinced he fills better because the same night that we shaved him he later brought me a gift... a live mouse.
anyway, this week i am bearing down on projects that i wanted to complete before school starts, like painting the living room as well as finalizing curriculum choices. i'm hoping to have my head together and house scrubbed and decluttered by then. school is starting a bit earlier than originally planned so we shall see if the list gets completed. ☺
