changes

february is about to end. (oh my) i don't know about  you, but my days seem to go by faster and faster. some nights i go to bed and hope that the Lord is pleased with all that i did that day, for i seem to run and run. (for His Glory i hope). anyway our life has changed up a bit this month. i'm not quite sure what the bigger news is, whether it is that my baby turned 7, or that after 8 1/2 years of home-schooling my cody now goes to school!

i'm 

still a bit stunned that candice is seven. all parents can relate i'm sure to the day when life steps you back and lets you look in like an outsider. as in... how did i get here? bills, marriage and kids??? where did the 

time go? in any case i am working really hard at enjoying each day, and taking nothing for granted. it's not 

perfected, but i'm workin' on it. 

now, about school. isn't it like God to change up our comfort zones??? always molding us into His will, not ours! and for some reason that included cody finishing 8th grade in school. i admit that i had a bit of a mixed emotion cry when we made the "yes" decision to send him, but i have peace about it. he tried things out for a week before he decided it was the thing for him. having an all boy class of six helped make the transition smoother too. 

on a side note, his basketball team won first place in the tournament that happened to be on candi's b-day. one thing i appreciate about this family is that with so many of us we have to share events a lot, and there is little complaining about it. being the good sport that candice is, she gladly accepted the adventure of eating her birthday dinner in the car between basketball games. 

 oddly enough these two have the closest bond of all my kids, so it's interesting that they would be the one's to share this day and be the "newsmakers". way to go you two. i love you.
