we were over at some friends' house yesterday afternoon, and while we were there taylor and madeline were exchanging blog addresses and ideas. i popped my head in to see what the girls were up to and saw madeline show taylor where to find some fun extras to add to her blog. well this morning i had to check things out for myself, to see if there was something nifty for my own blog, and found out that i could add,
art of the day by claude monet. i am so tickled because i love monet art.
i read about claude monet several years ago in a women's devotional book. the author was comparing her life to the hues in one of his famous paintings the water garden. i had to see the painting for myself so i looked it up on the internet and was hooked. as i researched his paintings they just sort of grabbed on to me. i was somehow pulled in by the sweetness of his settings.

I love Monet too. I had a Monet print hanging in my office for years and coincidentally there is another in the part-time office that I'm currently using at the college. We're going to the MOMA this weekend and will hopeful see a couple of REAL Monets there :) Remind me to tell you the story about missing a Monet exhibit in SF when Trish's twins were born.
